  • What's going on
I get alot of questions as to where I am right now. So, in the interest of my booking agent, my friends, my fans and my mother, I figured I would set things straight as to what I am up to in the Summer of 2009:

    1. I am living on a beach in Seattle, Washington.

    2. Though I no longer live in State College, PA, I have been back several times for shows, weddings, private parties, etc. If you want to book me (or me and the band) for a show in Pennsylvania, just drop me an email with the details, and we can make it happen.

    3. I no longer regularly perform with the band I started, LOWJACK, but they do back me when I play Pennsylvania shows. I helped them get a new drummer, and they are doing quite well at Penn State (check them out on my contact page).

    4. I recently released a new album with Daniel Collins on fiddle--you can check us out on itunes, amazon and cdbaby (or just peek below).

    5. I have signed on with a major label artist developer who has been whipping me into shape and writing new songs. We will be in West Hollywood, CA making an album in late summer/early fall. His name is Loren Israel (from Capitol Records, I think--he's worked heavily with Sugarcult, Plain White T's and Jimmy Eat World). He is a crazy and kind man, and the new album we are going to make together is going to be awesome.

    6. I am writing country songs with Bandy Killion and we have begun searching for a songplugger and publisher as we head into this unknown world--you can check out a Nashville demo of one of our songs on the myspace page.

    7. I have signed on to write some tunes for an independent film--"Trust Me" by Chris Fetchko, whom we have had great success together. Chris managed my old band, KATSU to a record deal with Sam Records. Chris also managed the BADLEES and JARED CAMPBELL. It's exciting to be working with him, as this film has some big names attached to it.

    8. I also book and work with several clubs here in Seattle, so I do occasionally perform live. I can also help get any bands gigs here in Seattle (which can be a VERY TOUGH town). So, get in touch with me if you are on old friend and need some help.

    9. I started growing a beard, but that short phase is over. I am thinking maybe a moustache next.

  • FIND ME ON FACEBOOK
At the request of my female friends and fans, I have broken down and gotten a facebook page (I am one of the few people left who actually likes myspace..) anyway, I've taken a shine to it. Search me out and let's be facebook friends. Just search "DENNIS MAGEE FALLON" and there you go. I've posted a bunch of tour shots of all the crazy places I have played. You'll love 'em, trust me. See you on Facebook. Also, I just recently took the video down off of the site. It was old, giving people trouble and we are working on some new video...

  • Back from Hollywood, San Diego and all points south
Just got back to Seattle after hitting up a songwriter's conference in LA. Thanks to Megan Combs for the show in San Diego. The trip away from the Seattle rain refreshed me. Check the showtimes for some shows I will be doing back in my home state of Pennsylvania in January. Open Mic is going good, and I am even gettting back to shows. Recently, I've gotten the writing bug again, and me and some of my cowriters are writing songs like water off a duck's ass. Hopefully you'll be hearing some of them soon...like on the radio. Ha ha! Drop me a line and say hello! Thanks D

  • SEATTLE OPEN MIC IS UNDER WAY
So, I was living in Seattle for only about 8 days when I recieved an offer to book bands here in the emerald city. Kind of fast, it seems, but I love a good musical showcase, so I took the job. As it stands now, I run a showcase/open mic night on THURSDAYS at MURPHY'S IRISH PUB in Seattle (1928 N 45th Street, for those in the area). It's a great time; instead just taking bums off the street, bands send in samples of their music, and I put together showcases in front of music loving crowds. If you no someone who would be into this, please have them get in touch with via email. Otherwise, see you on Thursday night!

  • Seattle time, and the livings easy...
So, I am living in Seattle now. Expect shows coming shortly as I am taking a slight bit of down-time to do some writing for the movie I just signed on to be music co-ordinator and composer (it's called "Trust Me" and my friend and former manager, Chris Fetchko has some really great stuff cooking for this script-including some REALLY big names--filming should start in Spring '09). Besides setting up shop in Seattle (where I will be helping a new club get off the ground--sound system duties, setup and organization), I want to finish writing some new songs for what I hope will end up as a temporary move to Nashville. Also, I will be in Los Angeles in November for some shows and I am currently booking a string of shows for Pennsylvania--as well as some new recording. Things are busy, but living in the woods of the great Northwest keeps me sane (at least for now...get a little whiskey in me and see how long that lasts!)...

Bio

A SHORT HISTORY (As of FALL 2008):

After successful stints as a radio deejay/weatherman, farm hand, credit card salesman, working in a mental institution, cave tour guide, Film major, Sports Programmer, Taco Bell employee and music journalist throughout Pennsylvania, Dennis turned his strange view of the world to the obsession of the songs he writes; catchy little tunes that spill out of his head faster than he can record them. A sum of his parts, he turned from a budding writing career (he had a short story that was turned into a play) to pursue his passion: the songs he writes. Immersing himself in all things musical and hungry for a creative outlet, Fallon began performing solo shows in his hometown of State College, PA (home of Penn State University). The student body there would embrace Dennis and his songs, where he cut his teeth as one of the city’s premiere performers, releasing the regional favorite, SUPERSWEET POISON in 2003. With so many songs, Fallon formed the (now defunct) band KATSU and LOWJACK around his songs. With potent lyrics, punk mentality, and roots rock training, KATSU took off, landing an independent record and management deal after two short years of unstoppable touring. In 2006, KATSU disbanded (after 3 years), LOWJACK formed, and Fallon released his 2nd record, LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN and a LIVE ALBUM (Feb.2007).

DATES AND EVENTS OF NOTE:

2003—One of only 20 singer-songwriters on the East Coast chosen for the DEWEY BEACH MUSIC FESTIVAL

2003—One of four finalists for the Northeast US in the MAVERICK RECORDS UNSIGNED ARTISTS CONTEST

2003—Fallon’s Band, KATSU, has their first album (“Gorgeous Mess”) chosen as the 1 independent release for the state of Pennsylvania by PA MUSICIAN MAGAZINE.

2004—signed with Northeast Record Label, SAM RECORDS and Chris Fetchko Management (www.samrecords.net). The label was home to Pennsylvania favorites THE BADLEES and JARED CAMPBELL. (Bret and Paul from THE BADLEES were the producers of the two KATSU albums).

2006—Fallon’s version of “Rapper’s Delight” is chosen as part of the MTV BOOKS project “Lit Riffs,” a collection of short stories inspired by classic rock songs and the accompanying soundtrack. (As featured in ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE.)

MARCH 2007-Fallon and his band, LOWJACK, perform at SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST MUSIC FESTIVAL in AUSTIN, TEXAS. Lowjack is also a top Pennsylvania band on Myspace in April, 2007.

LATE 2007—While working on new material for a second album, Fallon’s songs “The Stalkin Song” and “Ginger Peach Baby” are finalists again in Int. Songwriting Competition in the “Pop” and “Singer/Songwriter” categories. “The Stalkin’ Song” is also chosen as a finalist in BILLBOARD SONG COMPETITION.

WINTER 2008—Fallon’s song “Please Don’t Start” from his 2nd album, the EP “Lucky Number Seven” is signed to Blue Scout Music Publishing. In addition, he forms the Americana-rock outfit LOWJACK, whose posters and logo are featured on the NBC drama “Friday Night Lights”. Another song, "BYE BYE BOYS", is signed to THE MUSIC LIBRARY PUBLISHING COMPANY out of Los Angeles, CA.

SPRING 2008- Trying his hand at producing, Dennis helms a project for Pennsylvania's larger than life prodigal son, FATMAN (check him out below). Dennis and Fatman release "FRIENDS AND FAMILY" on DIESEL THUNDER RECORDS.

SUMMER 2008-Fallon departs LOWJACK for a tour of the United States. He performs all over the US, but settles for a while in Aspen, Colorado. Fallon is currently writing his new album and living in Seattle, Washington.
