Bio

A SHORT HISTORY (circa 2007): After successful stints as a radio deejay/weatherman, farm hand, credit card salesman, working in a mental institution, cave tour guide, Film major, Sports Programmer, Taco Bell employee and music journalist throughout Pennsylvania, Dennis turned his strange view of the world to the obsession of the songs he writes; catchy little tunes that spill out of his head faster than he can record them. A sum of his parts, he turned from a budding writing career (he had a small story that was turned into a play) to pursue his passion. Immersing himself in all things musical and hungry for a creative outlet, Fallon began performing solo shows in his hometown of State College, PA (home of Penn State University). The student body there would embrace Dennis and his songs, where he cut his teeth as one of the city’s premiere performers, releasing the regional favorite, SUPERSWEET POISON in 2003. With so many songs, Fallon formed the (now defunct) band KATSU and LOWJACK around his songs. With potent lyrics, punk mentality, and roots rock training, KATSU took off, landing an independent record and management deal after two short years of unstoppable touring. In 2006, KATSU disbanded (after 5 years), LOWJACK formed, and Fallon released his 2nd record, LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN and finished recording a LIVE ALBUM (Due in Feb.2007).

LIVE: Dennis Fallon and his bands Katsu and Lowjack have performed with such national acts as: JASON MRAZ, THE PRESIDENTS OF THE USA, THE SMITHEREENS, WASHINGTON SOCIAL CLUB, DEXTER FREEBISH, BADFISH, SEV, THE BADLEES, FIREHOUSE, BRIDGES AND A BOTTLE and every popular regional act throughout Pennsylvania.

SOUNDS LIKE: An alt-rock Springsteen backed by a rowdy, amped-up version of the Counting Crows

INSPIRATIONS: Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Ernest Hemmingway and Kermit the Frog.

TIMELINE: Late 2007-The song "Bye Bye Boys" is signed to a publishing deal with the music library.org, a worldwide music publisher. Dennis releases his first album as producer for FATMAN.

2007—Fallon's rock band, LOWJACK, releases a 2nd album and Dennis and the band make their way to perform in Austin, Texas for South By Southwest.

2006—Fallon’s song “Please Don’t Start” from his 2nd album, the EP “Lucky Number Seven” is signed to Blue Scout Music Publishing. In addition, he forms the Americana-rock outfit LOWJACK, whose posters and logo are featured on the NBC drama “Friday Night Lights”.

2006—While working on new material for a second album, Fallon’s songs “The Stalkin Song” and “Ginger Peach Baby” are finalists again in Int. Songwriting Competition in the “Pop” and “Singer/Songwriter” categories. “The Stalkin’ Song” is also chosen as a finalist in BILLBOARD SONG COMPETITION.

2005—Fallon’s version of “Rapper’s Delight” is chosen as part of the MTV BOOKS project “Lit Riffs,” a collection of short stories inspired by classic rock songs and the accompanying soundtrack. (As featured in ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE.) In 2007, "Rapper's Delight" is signed to a song publishing contract with The Music Library Music Publishing Group.

2004—“The Stalking’ Song” is chosen as a worldwide finalist in the International Songwriting Competition for the “Pop” category.

2003—Fallon’s Band, KATSU, has their first album (“Gorgeous Mess”) chosen as the #1 independent release for the state of Pennsylvania by PA MUSICIAN MAGAZINE.

2003—One of four finalists for the Northeast US in the MAVERICK RECORDS UNSIGNED ARTISTS CONTEST BUY YOUR FAVORITE DENNIS FALLON SONGS BY CLICKING BELOW. THANKS!!!
